Welcome to my Sweet Pea's little nest. Oh! My girl loves her bed so much! She loves to go to sleep and is so easy to put to bed. We just rock her for a few minutes while she sucks her thumb and rubs her satin blanket. Next we put her in her bed on her tummy and she scoots her bottom in the air, snuggles under her blanket, pops her thumb in her mouth and rubs her satin with her other hand. The next thing you know she is having sweet Bee dreams. I am really jealous of how easy it is for her to fall asleep. I think she gets this from her daddy!

My mother made this bedding. We went to every fabric store in Houston at least three times before I picked this fabric. Thanks for putting up with my indecisive pregnancy brain, mom! The bumper is a blue toille and has toddlers playing in a park. So sweet! The skirt is velvet and the whole thing is washable!

My mother stitched two sets of sheets for the crib. This set is a sweet lamb and the other is three bunnies. Ellen loves these little details.

This is one view of Ellen's mobile. My mother made this also. We wanted it to have contrast so that Ellen could see it even when she was newborn but didn't want it to be black and white. Ellen still loves to lay in her bed and look at these little animals and see the shape swing around. Some mornings she just lays in bed singing and talking to herself and her mobile.

This is Ellen's bassinet. I didn't want a pink nursery because I knew my Lovebug would be covered in pink but we decided that pink would be fun for the bassinet. I thought Ellen would sleep in this by our bed as a newborn. There was something that Ellen did not like about the bassinet and this didn't work out. I'm not sure what it was though. Now it is at Cece's house filled with toys and later she will be able to play with her dolls in it. I love Ellen's room and I think she does too! I hope you enjoyed the tour! Elizabeth
