Little Bee

Here I am adventuring into the world of blogging. Lloyd is a bit afraid of how much time this may take up and is issuing warnings about his friends' wives who spend "hours a night" blogging. However, he has been helping me figure out how to start this blog a week before I return to work. One of my goals was to have this set up prior to the end of my maternity leave as a way of updating our aunts and grandparents on the happenings of our sweet little bee. While most of my visions of what maternity leave would be like (a luxurious vacation with a well dressed baby in my arms) did not necessarily pan out, I appreciate his help in realizing this one. We got the name for the blog from a nickname that started when I was a baby. Since then, my family has generally referred to babies as "b"s as in "baby".

One May 21, 2010 at 8:20 AM, Lloyd and I were blessed with our own baby b, Ellen James Conaway. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 inches long. She was beautiful. We have enjoyed every second with her and regularly marvel at how lucky we are to be her parents. Lloyd and I have had a lot of help this summer from our friends and family and are so grateful for that. We hope to use this blog to send pictures and stories to those of you we don't get to see as often as we would like. Much love to you all, Elizabeth, Lloyd and Ellen "the Little Bee"
