Our Little Bee was quite the water baby this summer! She has decided that she really loves pools. She even convinced Mommy that we should jump into Aunt Susu's pool with clothes on! So far I would say that her favorite pool of the summer was the one at Hyatt Hill Country due to the "I do it myself" factor. This pool is a beach front entry that is perfect for independent toddlers to walk in and out of "all by myself". The pool never gets more than about 9 to 12 inches deep so even the "deep end" is shallow enough for little ones to have tons of fun and feel in charge.

Ellen also liked the fact that she could climb in and out at the sides and did this repeatedly. She loved this pink beach ball and spent a lot of time putting it in and out of the water.

Of course, buckets are always a big hit with the Little Bee and she borrowed this one from someone at the pool. Mommy learned to start bringing toys down to the pool with us like the other mommies were doing.

I didn't get any good shots (or really any at all) of us floating the lazy river but this was by far my favorite thing we did on the trip. You just grab a tube as it floats by, plop in and float away. Ellen would snuggle in and lay her head down as Mommy sang the Elmo song or "My Family" by Laurie Bertner Band (two of our favorite songs). Little Bee would hum along and drink her milk. We could do this forever without her getting bored. There were enough birds and kids floating by to keep her interest and I think she liked the snuggle time too. I saw several kiddos napping on their mommies as they floated by. I was pretty tempted to do this but Daddy convinced me that she needed a real nap in the room. I can't wait to get back to that lazy river! Love, The Little Bee and her Momma
