The Little Bee loves to help us take care of the doggies and we are happy to let her help. This usually means the task takes longer and is messier but I like to think that it is building her self-esteem and helping her to feel like she is contributing to the family. She feeds the dogs twice a day and more often if we leave the pantry open for too long. The dogs love when she feeds them because she gives very generous portions and gets dog food all over the floor. She has also been known to sample their meals if not carefully monitored. Little Bee also believes that the dog's frequently need to have their nose blown. They are less thrilled with this "help".
Ellen loves to help Mommy bathe Muffy in the bath tub but recently she got to help Daddy bathe King outside. She thought this was great! She helped to squirt the shampoo and rub it in. The best part was when she got to squirt King with the hose. She was very good at this and even got Daddy a few times.
